The Centre was established in 1971 as a cheetah and wild dog conservation project and has continued to perform an important role in the preservation and protection of cheetahs. It has bred over eight hundred cheetah cubs since. The centre first achieved international recognition for bringing the cheetah back from the brink of extinction – it was largely due to this centre that the cheetah was removed from the endangered species list. Situated at the foothills of the Magaliesberg, near Brits and Hartbeespoort Dam. Guests can enjoy various guided tours, where you see a Cheetah run, Vultures, Caracal and Wild Dogs.
