The east coast of Southern Africa, along the Natal and Cape coastlines, has many magnificent protected reefs, beaches and offshore islands. There are diving tours to suit everybody's experience and interest, from reef dives with potato bass, to cage diving with great white sharks. Enjoy typically hot South African sunshine, the virgin reefs, pristine, uncrowded beaches and a teeming marine ecosystem. Dolphins and whale sharks are a common sight along the Maputaland coast, and in summer you can watch the Loggerhead and Leatherback turtles nest on the beaches around Sodwana Bay. Sodwana lies on the Zululand east coast, just south of the Mozambique border. The entire coastline from Cape Vidal to the Mozambican border is a marine reserve, home to many birds species and turtle nesting sites. Ponta do Ouro is the southern-most town of Mozambique and is famous for its Scuba and snorkeling locations, excellent fishing and great watersport option.
