Taking in the the Kruger national Park, ancient kingdoms, world heritage site wetlands, an old goldrush town, Zulu battlegrounds and the majestic Drakensberg (Mountains of the Dragon). Adventures in southern Africa are truly what memories are made of.
You will be met by an African Outposts representative and transferred to a Hotel or Inn for an overnight stay. (BB)
At 07h00 your tour guide will collect and transfer you to the Kruger National Park through scenic Mpumalanga, stopping en-route at Pilgrim's Rest, an old gold rush town, and the stunning Blyde River Canyon. Enjoy a twilight game drive before settling in overnight at a Rest Camp. (DB)
This day is spent exploring the park on morning and afternoon game drives, observing the wide variety of game and bird species. Overnight at a Rest Camp. (DB)
Enjoy an early morning game drive before departing the park and driving into The Kingdom of Swaziland, stopping at the colourful Mbabane market, before reaching Mkhaya Game Reserve, where you will enjoy a relaxing overnight stay. This evening, a game drive is available to search for Black as well as White Rhino, common to the reserve. (DB)
After an early morning game drive you leave Swaziland via Lavumisa Border Post and head into KwaZulu Natal, the Kingdom of the Zulu, reaching a Lodge in Pongola, where you will overnight. (DB)
Depart for the famous St. Lucia Wetland Sanctuary. At 15H00 a boat trip is arranged up the estuary through mangrove plantations. Overnight at the homely St Lucia Guest House. (DB)
After breakfast and a morning hike along the edge of the lake, your tour guide will discuss the day's activities with you. At the end of the day, return to the St Lucia Guest House for an overnight. (DB)
After breakfast enjoy a drive through the Umfolozi, en-route to the Royal Zulu Kraal at Ulundi, where you will overnight at Shaka Land in a traditional Zulu hut. Enjoy traditional Zulu dancing with dinner - a great cultural experience. (DB)
Today you travel into the heart of the Zulu Battlefields, explore the scene of many historic battles like Rourke's Drift and visit Dingaan's Royal Kraal. Overnight at a Lodge in the area. (DB)
Transfer to the magnificent Drakensberg mountain range. Overnight at a mountain resort, set in the shadow of the magnificent Mont-Aux-Sources - this is truly a most wonderful place to unwind after your journey. (FI)
This morning a hike is arranged along the spectacular Sentinel Trail, arguably the most impressive walk in the region. Starting at 2540 metres you hike 4 kilometres to the top of the Drakensberg plateau, where, at 3000 metres, the surrounding mountain scenery is spectacular. Overnight at a mountain resort. (FI)
Full day at leisure to stroll on one of many marked trails in the region, or to simply relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the ‘Berg. Overnight at a mountain resort. (FI)
